Start your application process in good time

When you need to apply for a visa, we recommend starting well in advance, as the application process can be cumbersome and requires a number of different documents, such as passport, invitation letter and guarantee letter. 

The requirements to obtain an approved visa vary from country to country. On our website, you can see the requirements for each individual country.

Check if your passport meets the international requirements

In order for you to obtain an approved visa, your passport must meet a number of international requirements. We recommend that you check that your passport meets these criteria before starting the application process, so you avoid wasting time and money on a rejected application.

The passport:

• must be valid for at least 6 months after the duration of the trip
• must have at least 2 unstamped pages.
• must not have been reported lost, and subsequently found again.
• In original condition.
   

Your photo for the visa application must follow specific guidelines

As part of the application process, we require a so-called visa photo of you. It is important that you ensure the photo meets the requirements before sending it to us:

• The photo must have been taken within the last 6 months
• The photo must be taken against a white background
• There must not be too many shadows in the photo
• Your full face and the top of your shoulders must be visible
• You must not wear glasses or jewellery
• You must not smile in the photo
   

Check which vaccinations are recommended for your destination country

At Visumansogning, we do not provide guidance on vaccinations for international travel, but we always recommend checking which vaccination recommendations apply when travelling to countries such as Saudi Arabia, India, and China.

Check your visa

We always review your approved visa before sending it to you. We also always recommend that you review it yourself and ensure that all the information you have provided is recorded correctly.

If there are errors in the information, it can cause problems when entering the destination country.

The most important details you should check are:

• Name
• Date of birth
• Date of entry
• Date of exit
• Passport number
• Visa type (check that the purpose of your trip is stated correctly)
