Many countries require a so-called letter of guarantee or sponsorship letter as part of obtaining an approved visa. A letter of guarantee is intended to indicate to the authorities of the respective country how financial support is ensured during the stay, including where you plan to stay, and what the purpose of the trip is.
It is the responsibility of the applicant's company to formulate and deliver the letter to the applicant before the application begins. Please note that the letter must be attached to the application from the start, otherwise the application will be rejected and the money will be lost.
If you are applying for a business visa, the company where the applicant is employed must be the sender of the letter of guarantee. The letter must also contain detailed information about what the purpose of the trip is, the length of the stay, planned places to visit and financing during the stay.
In some cases, a sponsorship letter can replace the letter of guarantee. A sponsorship letter is simply a confirmation that the company, where the applicant is employed, will sponsor the applicant during the stay in terms of food and accommodation.
A guarantee or sponsorship letter must comply with the following standards to be approved. The letter must:
Letter of Guarantee for Private Visit
The letter is most often only used for business visa applications. However, in a few cases, it is seen that a letter of guarantee is attached to an application for a visa for a private visit from the host and/or the applicant's family in the home country, confirming that the party being visited is responsible for the applicant during the stay in terms of support, a place to stay, and that the applicant will abide by the country's laws during the stay.
It is also seen that guarantee letters from the applicant's family in the home country are submitted as proof that the family will sponsor the applicant's trip abroad. However, this is most often the case if the applicant is a minor, or if the applicant, for specific reasons, is financially dependent on their family.
